The German MiGs were hosted by the 53rd Wing during various training missions. Unlike previous visits to the U.S. for training, this deployment provided German pilots the opportunity to fly live-fire missions against both full-scale QF-4 drones and sub-scale drones. This MiG boasts a particularly colorful paint scheme for their "Farewell USA" tour as the type was retired by the Luftwaffe.

Love the tug on the Stennis! Really old skool with wide whites on big-n-littles, classic pin work with traditional crab claw licks on suede black! :drinkers: :drinkers:

Used to see that F117 with stars & bars in the pattern around here quite a lot. It was in the last flight of 4 to leave Plant 42 for *entombing* at Nellis. Couple of months back there were 3 or 4 F5's painted like the ones in your pic on the ramp at VNY (Not the civvie ones that actually live at VNY)
