I can't help with the WB-50 research, but it does make me feel a little better about my radar research. I've been having a hard time finding H2X blueprints and printed material for our B-17 and it seems the NMUSAF is finding the same problem with the collector on the WB. A lot of the modifications done to these airplanes seem to have been poorly documented, either accidentally or to preserve secrecy. I suspect the depot that did the mods might have retained the documents for a time and then disposed of them years later.

I ran across these videos of a WB-50 crewman at the museum a few months ago. Someone from the museum was talking too him and asking questions as he rattled off his memories.

Awww...I got all that stuff in a barn out back. I'd be willin' to trade it all for the title of OWNERSHIP to a certain P-82.

Yeah, I think there are at least six of those in Midland. Now that would be poetic justice for sure. If i had one I would donate it to the CAF for sure and see what kind of trade our wonderfull friends in Dayton come up with. They would probably sue and confiscate them anyway.

Or the CAF would sell it.
