Wendover Jet Blast 2010 - T-33 gathering

Tue Jan 05, 2010 9:49 am

Happy New Year everyone!

I do not have a specific date yet but. . . . there is a "Jet Blast" being planned in Wendover this year in the May/June time frame.

What is jet blast? The Classic Jet Aircraft Association sponsors events throughout the year where members can bring thier ex-military type jets in for the weekend. Typically there is some foramtion flying and a clinic or two on a relatedtopic for the pilots/owners.

What to expect? two years ago we had a four ship T-33 fly over! and another 2 T-33s on the ground. Alphas, Fougas, Sabres, Provosts, L-29s, L-39s, MIGs and Vampires have all made appearences at the Wendover event.

This year the organizer is making a big effort to have as many T-33/CT-133 aircraft at the event as possible - kind of a "Shooting Star/Silver Star" gathering if you will. I know there are a few of you T-33 types here and if you are nterested please shoot me a PM and I will make sure you get all the info available.

I will be working on getting a "photographers pit" of sorts going for this if you are interested in taking photos of these great aircraft.

Thanks,

Tom P.
