Radiation sign on the nose of Prowler is very interesting. Both machine was very effective and long time ago I have read that during very bad time and at night, only Intruder was able to take off fro carrier and go to combat mission over Vietnam.

The EA-6B nose mark comes in a variety of shapes.
Its purpose if so the LSO can tell it between a A-6 Intruder.

Nice pics! I'll have to check with my cousin, see which birdfarm he was on and when, doing the Prowler thing from the back. I think it was early 80's.

Not sure who's operating it, but I keep seeing one of these flying in and out of Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque. Painted white with no visible markings. Wasn't aware that anyone was still flying them.
