I know Gary's project racer (Another Solution) was sold, but does anyone know where she is now or what she has been doing since she changed hands??

I re-read his racer thread again today and enjoyed myself until the last two pages, of course. Hope my question hasn't already been covered and I missed it. My apologies if it has.

The airplane was sold to Matt Jackson. Matt planned to race it this year then put it in a museum, but since it didn't race this year, I am unsure of the status.

What's happening to Gary's truck rod project is also of interest!

I would be interested in buying the racer project. Also does anyone remember the "N" number of the Clipped Wing Cub Gary used to own? I know it left Memphis several years ago but don't know if it ever got finished and where it went.

I know the last I heard Gary left everything to Janet. Not sure what she will do with everything. As a fellow mechanic I would like to buy one of his tools. I have his cat Katy but would like to have a tool so every time I use it I will remember his big smile and fat/short jokes. His mom was looking for his flight helmet, I think the one he wore during the Pitts canopy incident with a foot print on the back of it. There was a good joke behind that one as well. She was pretty proud of his B24/B29 Crew Chief Jacket.

As soon as a final decision is made about Gary's estate I will let everyone know.

Please keep us posted. If any of his tools or other possessions are to be put up for auction, I'd like to bid on some things. If I go for my A&P, it'd be great to have at least one tool that Gary used on a warbird!

I certainly hope I didn't offend anyone, but I was just hoping to hear that his racer had flown...finally. Maybe not with him in the seat, but that his work had not been in vain. I am in no way trying to rush or invade in the settling of his estate, so I hope it wasn't taken that way. He was too dear to me to ever intrude on such a thing.

And Mr. Pierce, I got an email the other day that suggested his N number on the Cub was 17RB. Not sure if anyone answered you or not.

Regards,
Dana
