Hi there everyone. Had a question about C-47s when they rolled off the assembly line. Each aircraft must have had some standard equipment when they rolled off the assembly line to fly to the Army Airfield for GFE uploads.
I looking to find out if Douglas ever published a book / document on what each block had installed when it rolled off the line.
Example, North American B-25s had standard equipment for each block that came installed when it rolled out, The book tells you it had something like,
Block -25
2 each M2 Machine Guns, Waist Position, N-8 Gunsights .....
M-7 Tail turret with N-8 gunsight Installed.....
Did Douglas ever have something like this? better yet, IF it exsists, does anyone have a copy I can buy?
Yes I have the IPBs but Im looking for what truely came with these aircraft.
I do need a copy of the original 1943 or 44 -4 IPB if anyone has it???
Thanks
Dave
