I was driving south on I-405 about two hours ago and was passed by HFM'S F-89 going north. They should be in Bellingham by now?

It was on a truck, engines exposed. I forgot how big the F-89 is! The wings and stab's must have been on another trailer.

Sounds like Chris made good time! When we got in last night, we didn't know if it'd be here Sunday or Monday. The wings and horizontal are on another trailer that should be here Monday or Tuesday. Then the real fun begins...

Fuel was not a big problem, getting that lead sled down without blowing a tire was a success, It weighed 48,000 lbs wet. An easy to maintain interceptor with a lot of fire power.

I have seen many strange things on "The 405". I even saw Danny Bonniduche once....but NEVER an F-89 Scorpion. That would be a first.
