Some top notch restoration work going on there - not sure we will ever see any significant improvement on this standard. Truly superb.

So, does this mean that restoration of "Dottie Mae" has started in earnest yet? I thought that Vintage was going to finish that Mustang first. Is it done yet?

Yes, the Mustang metalwork was completed and went off in Feb? to have the systems installed. Not sure where - Westpac?
From Feb Vintage Airframes are cracking on with the restoration of K4-S. Only been 7-8 months and working on the lower fuselage as the main area which was the most damaged. Currently undertaken this
Fuselage split and tail cone removed. All internal fixtures removed.
Lower fuselage being re-assembled
Wing skins removed and undercarriage and pivot castings removed
Tail cone de-skinned and dis-assembled - cleaning/anodizing
Section Firewall extension - cleaning/anodizing
Part sourcing.
Not bad for 7 months
Beautiful restoration
