Here is a photo I found at the USN Museum collection. Does any one have the serial number? Thanks in advance. (Note: Aircraft on Display in Beeville, Tx, mid 1960's)

Judging by the cars in the background, it must have been in the late 60s.
Perhaps a paint scheme to honor a local HS/college football team?

Is that a refueling probe on the nose? If so, it it the recently discussed Museum of Flight Seattle example?

Last time I more prefer natural metal samples.... maybe I will build a scale kit.

A check of Leslie Hunt's "Veteran and Vintage Aircraft" states the aircraft as being 122563. Any clues as to where it went went replaced by the A-4?

Chase has been closed and gone for a very long time now. Not much of the old base left. A Federal Prison now.
