Cant understand a lick of Russian but man, some cool shots from Jerry Yagen's show he put on this past summer and some unexpected footage of our own museum here in Connecticut! Our salty old founder George "Doc" Gunther makes an appearance along with our own Jerry O'Neill! Some how I missed that day!

Chris;
How did you locate that piece?
We did that shoot back in Mid-May 2009 and I never thought I'd see it!

I was also interviewed walking around the site where Igor flew the VS-300 for the first official flight of the helicopter. That part of the production was about Sikorsky and his flying boats and helicopters.

They left for The Fighter Factory right after they shot in Stratford.

I wish I could speak Russian, cause then I would know what I said! :lol:

Found it at the Fighter Factory's/ Military Aviation Museum's website under there links on the left side of there web-page:
http://www.militaryaviationmuseum.org/index.php

I nearly crapped my pants when all of a sudden the corsair popped up and so did Doc! Needless to say, my dad freaked out too. :wink: I remember hearing about that day. Where did you take the film crew? Right behind where the Corsair was in that area of tall grass and trees? If thats where Sikorsky tested the 300 I hope that just adds to our quest for permanent residence for where we are! I mean thats some serious history right there.

(Side note, theres a meeting at 9am at the museum tomorrow, maybe you can come?)

Actually, the first flight took place across the street from the museum's building. There are some buildings on the exact site, but it certainly hovered around the area often.
Can't make the meeting tomorrow, taking the grand kids to the Scottish Festival.
