Byron "Hook" Hukee is a former USAF Skyraider pilot and the creator of the excellent skyraider.org. One of his pages is much like the warbird registry - an attempt to list each surviving AD/A-1 including at least one picture. I just helped him connect with TimAPNY in order to update photos of the TN Museum's A-1H.

I can't speak for Hook, but three types of photos appear to be needed: the airplane while still in service, different schemes it has worn, and how it looks today.

If you visit http://skyraider.org/skyassn/skywarb.htm there is a listing so you can see what he has, plus a link to him for submissions. I'm sure he'd appreciate only submissions where you are able to provide permission for posting, ie. no copyright tangles.

I don't think he's looking to be overwhelmed with a sea of sumbissions, but if you can update what he already has, then we all win.

Don't forget to cc http://www.warbirdregistry.org/ as there are photos missing there as well.

Thanks!
Ken

Hook has now asked me to assist him in updating this info. You can still contact him via the web site or send the pix to me and I will sort them for him. In either case, thanks in advance.

I e-mailed Mr. Hukee yesterday with a location update.

The sole-surviving AD-3, BuNo 122811, hasn't been displayed in Oshkosh for several years. The Navy relocated it as a gate guard outside Naval Support Activity in Philadelphia, PA.

Here's a link to how I believe she appears now. Perhaps some kind WIXer can help Mr. Hukee out with a current pic.

I captured these two at Nellis during Aviation Nation '05. If someone can tell me the identities then I'd be happy to share these pics if he needs them for the site.
