Not if they were not supposed to fly period.

Accidental: A bystander videotapes the moment the Victor bomber took-off at an air show when a civilian co-pilot hit the throttle button by mistake

Man, I hate it when I accidentally hit that throttle button.

Slow news day today that they drag up a storey that happened FOUR months ago and has been discussed to the n-th degree all over the web

And no they couldn't go around, although Bob said he did consider it for a nano-second because that's the SOP for a Victor in a situation like this.....but the CAA would have had a hissy fit, as the aircraft ISN'T airworthy for a start and not flown for 15 years, he elected to try and get it on the ground pronto.

I had a look at the pictures and video...if I didn't know any better I would say that the plane was so ugly the ground rejected it. <runs for cover> Just kidding, just kidding.

Well, it is no Mitchell or Phantom, that's for sure... Sexiest twin, and sexiest jet warbirds...

Thank God there were no trees closer to the end of the runway. Wow. Glad all worked out okay. Not sure where the aircraft was headed for the crowd...oh, wait, "journalists" tend to be LYING IDIOTS.
