I have yet to attend a flying day this season due to work, camping and salmon season, but I will try not to miss this one!

I just hope they bring it to WARBIRD WEEKEND on the 25-27th of Sept, that would be a neat fly past, a group of MUSTANGS being fired at by a fliegerkannon-
P.A. suposedly also has a V-2 that is 100% restored and only needs propellants----------HMMMMM must be nice to have that much moolah

That 88mm was restored by Gary Norville and his crew at American Aero Services. I am pretty sure that the short video on the website was shot at Gary's place. This is at least the 3rd or 4th 88mm that they have restored.

If anyone in the New England is interested in seeing one fire, The Collings Foundation will be using ours during our WWII reenactment on October 10th and 11th. It will be firing 6 or 7 times each day. There will be 4 or 5 tanks for it to fire at, as well as some air targets.

With the gun and mounts weighing in at 14,000-15,000 pounds, they are not the easiest things to move around. The one here has moved around the facility, but nothing that has involved taking it on a public road.

Here is a picture of ours firing last October:

I'm fairly certain that the runways @ KPAE can handle 18,000 lbs since it deals with 1,000,000 lb 747's all the time, and FoF is on the diagonal opposite corner of KPAE from FHC's facility, altho there is the issue of the newly laid paving on 16/31 that needs to be redone because it isn't curing correctly................my confidence remains pretty high on this

I did not realize that "Warbird Weekend" was at the same airport. I did a quick search online, but could not find anything under "Warbird Weekend" with more information.

I am sure moving it to the other side of the airport should not be a problem (although taking it across active runways is probably not a good idea). We use a tug to move ours around. It works fine along as it is level terrain, and the grass is not wet.
