Here is the replacement Connie for the one that used to sit on top of Jim Flannery's restaurant on the site. My daughter took this picture last night while we werre on our way to a football game.

Somehow it just isn't the same......

But glad to see the real one preserved as both my uncle and father in law probably flew it.

That's just symbolic of the amount of gas (and $$$) that you'd need to keep a Connie up in the air...

That intersection just doesn't look right since the Connie was moved.

Is the Connie still in restoration at Dover or has it made it's way to being displayed that the AMC museum?

You think maybe Jerry Jones will put a Connie on top of the jumbotron in the new cowboys stadium?

It depends on who he can get to pay for it.

Is there a picture of the plane when it was on the restaurant?

It's good that it's been rescued, but I wish it could have been restored in airliner markings. I'd love to see it in its original livery since it's almost certainly the last ex-Cubana Connie left. Maybe post-Castro(s) we could swap it to 'em for that P-47 or a couple Sea Furies?
