This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Gary's probably too pissed to write and can't blame him.
He was informed today by THE NMUSAF ie Air force Museum that the F-101 and the F-105 were improperly transfered
to the Texas Air Museum and therefore must be cut up immediately.
I'm at a loss to understand what is the matter with these jerks.
and Chris I don't want to hear the rebuttal

Everyone that wondered why I got so pissed at the P-82 deal can now see that the camel got his nose under the tent there, and like a egg sucking dog ain't gonna stop until someone puts a big boot up their a??. Problem is that boot costs lots of money.

Well, that is true. HOWEVER........the lady I spoke with was at least nice about it and said she'd TRY to do whatever she can to help me out with this. But for what she knows right now, it doesn't look good.
And while this is VERY disappointing news, I'm pleading with y'all to let me get the rest of the info from her before we go completely crazy (that's what I'm telling myself anyway). I assure you all, that IF the end result is that the airplanes do indeed get cut up, I will let you know.
Gary the frustrated.

Does anyone here (Chris??) have good numbers for related officials at the NMUSAF and other government agencies for the people to be heard? I for one think that there should be (Constitutionally?) a means for redress of grievances.
If you do, then by all means please post them here. Also, Gary, if you get more information before Friday (when I leave town) I'd like to know. I actually got Lex and the 'ole Col. Rohr on the radio here in San Antonio when the whole issue was going on up there. Don't know if something could be pulled off, but it's worth a shot.

That's completely fair. Let's sit back until we learn more from Gary.

I'm gonna keep repeating this so everyone will see it.........

That is sad news.
I have a feeling things will work out in the end and nothing will be chopped up.

Sometimes I wonder if the internet is the problem. Swamp Ghost gets already to come home and then it's all over the internet and somebody wakes up to stop it.
And now this is the latest. Those aircraft would have rotted away and that was fine. Nobody really knew about them. Then they get a little love and "Oh those weren't transfer right. Destory them now" instead of "Oh gee we messed up, we'll get the tranfers right and thanks for help save our history".
Edit: Note to self. Type faster

Good luck Gary.

Assuming its is a minor issue and gets resolved - this sucks! I can imagine Gary's stress and frustration.
If it is as bad as it seems, then I have no words to publicly describe how I feel.
Good Luck Gary! If I can think of a way to help, I will.
Regards,
Art S.
PS. Gary, are you inclorporated as a non-profit?

Hey bluethunder28, that's what I was thinking too... The most rational plan would be like you said; to simply get the transfers properly done, and then not chop up the planes.
End of Story....

The paperwork problem is NOT to Gary but the original transfer to TAM.
Remember their talking both aircraft.
