Oh, dear...

You're gonna need a Defender for making a crack like that.

Very spiffy! I like the ones that have the smooth fairing on the inboard leading edge.

The Chris Amon-esque pose makes me think of Steve Hinton.

I'm wrong, aren't I?

....now owned/flown by FAC MOH nominee, Garry Cooper, and is based @ Caboolture near Brisbane. It is quite immaculate and lots of little things to make here as close to the real thing as possible. Thanks Jack for posting..

Just a note, all the Tora T-6 mods on both the Kates and the Zeroes had the leading edges added.
Great shot and the was the Zero that was Dick Foote's old bird in the 1980's before it was sold to some one in the UK and then found it's way to AUS.
It use to have a 250lb bomb underneath.

Speaking of the mechanical Mastermind, What ever happened to the the Zero and Val he used to have? I know he tore the crap out of the Zero, and he had other components of another or couple of Zero's.
Also is this Mechanical Mastermind....................... still alive?

was operated by OFMC [Ray and Mark H.] in UK before moving to Tim Wallis's Alpine Fighter Collection, then to me and on to Garry. We flew it across the Tasman Sea from NZ to Australia!

The Val is with the Planes of Fame in Chino, it has been undergoing a very long term restoration.

That's "wreckstoration." Once the P-59 flies it may move to the front of the queue.

It certainly looks the part, but what is it that makes this Tora Zero so special?
