Constellation on Salina Kansas Airport for 30 years or more.

Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:06 pm

Some one mentioned today that they are working on the Constellation that has been on the Ramp of the Salina Kansas Municipal Airport for many years. Think it made a short flight Toward Wichita in 1990 or 1991 and blew a 3350 and returned to Salina and been a visitor jthere all these years. I remember seeing them run it up in 1990. A ferry permit was issued from Wichita FSDO for a flight to Texas as rumor has it. Or it may be cut up as I have not driven by her to see the current activity on the airport. Hope she flies again. Story is that it once belonged to the FAA onceand was a low time aircraft. Only rumors that get passed around the local airport.
