Anyone know of Yak bits?

Tue Aug 18, 2009 7:27 pm

Hi there, we're trying to track down available Yak 11 and Yak 3 airframe and system parts, and a Klimov V-12 with a suitable propeller. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know.

Thanks,

Les

There was a fella in South Texas...a French guy who's name escapes me right now...who had an old Klimov engine core. He told me years ago that it was so bad he was just going to "throw it away," but I can't imagine that he did. I tried for a while to get it from him, but he wouldn't "throw it" towards me.

I have a few small Yak bits myself, but not much. Rudder pedals (with leather straps), new brake proportioning valve, and a small variety of hoses and fittings and such. I sold most of my Yak stuff years ago, but that's pretty much what's left if you're interested in it.

John Garrick was the fella's name that had the Klimov engine core.

Multiple Klimovs listed here. Scroll about 1/3 down and look for "Yak-7B project". My apologies if this is an old listing.

I have a prop I have used on my PW R2000 Yak in the past. Probably has 40 hours on it. Ready to fly. I will sell it for a bargain.
