Well, guys, I am sure that you remember one of our favorite movies, "Twelve O'Clock High" starring Gregory Peck. The movie ends, and my ole Bud - Dik Shepherd - that's right, Dik Shepherd - picks up the story of General Frank Savage.
I could put Gregory Peck into the book as General Savage, I guess because I have seen a number of Gregory Peck movies, and the Dik's story looks like a script that Gregory Peck would have taken and ran with.
I just finished reading his book which is a story wrapped around fact, and it also shows that Dik has a sensitive side that you may or may not appreciate.
I actually hated to see the story end.
I am waiting for Dik to provide me with a POC for purchase of his book, and asked about a WIX discount, but we'll have to see.
the price is a little steep through the website below, but I don't think Dik controls that - but then again I don't know. I just wanted to share his book with you guys if you are interested.
I am not pimping the site below, it was the only one I could find with the cover.

Someone who still berates this site and it's members at every oppturnity.
I'd rather read Mein Kampf

I imagine that there are some hard feelings, naturally. But as I have grown older, I have kinda let some things slide off the ramp into the trap where it stays. Perhaps Dik has mellowed since the banning, but I do not presume to speak for Dik, only myself.
His book was sent to me as a gift, and I am merely passing along that I read his book and it wasn't a bad read.
I have never read Mein Kampf, might give that a look too. Thanks

Lets get back onto topic and lay off the personal attacks. The book will interest folks here on WIX and I want them to be able to learn about it without wading through Forum BS.

Thanks Tim.
It is really a good read. If one is familiar with Gregory Peck and his acting in the 40's this book is Peck circa 40's-50's
