This month includes:


1. Charlie Tilghman displays the Lone Star Flight Museum’s Hawker Hurricane Mk.XII against the cloudy Texas skies over Galveston. The Hurricane is painted in the colors of Wing Commander Lance "Wildcat" Wade of Broaddus, TX. Wade was credited with 23 victories before being killed in an accident at the age of 28.

2. Greg Colyer flying the T-33 Heritage Foundation’s Canadair CT-133 Silver Star "Ace Maker", with Kevin Walker in the back seat, during the CJAA Jet Blast at Yolo County, CA.
3. Butch Schroder's Republic P-47D Thunderbolt "Hairless Joe" (44-90471), being flown by John Lane, during AirVenture 2005.

4. The Commemorative Air Force's Consolidated B-24A Liberator "Ol 927", being flown by Paul Stojkov and Tom Travis, over Lake Ray Hubbard just east of Dallas, TX.

5. Paul Ehlen's award winning N.A. P-51D Mustang "Little Horse" (44-11586), painted in the colors of Ken Dahlberg, 354th Fighter Group, 353rd Fighter Squadron.

6. The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Douglas DC-3 in the colours of 435/436 Squadrons “Canucks Unlimited", being flown by Brandon Zimmerman and Sten Palbom, enroute to the 2008 Brantford Airshow.

7. Dan Martin flying the highly modified N.A. P-51D Mustang "Dago Red" overhead Hollister, CA.

8. Al Beverstein flying his beautiful Bell 47D-1 helicopter during a Vertical Magazine photo shoot at the 60th Anniversary of HydroOne's Helicopter Operation.

9. John Maloney flying the Warhawk Air Museum's Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk AK933 during the Reno Air Race Association's 2009 Pylon Racing Seminar in Reno, NV.

10. Mike Mangold rounding the pylons in his Aero Vodochody L-29 "Euro Burner" at the 2008 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. This year's Air Races and Airshow will be held on September 16 - 20, 2009.

11. An Air Canada A-319 taking off from runway 06R at Toronto's LBPIA.

12. Lyle Shelton running up his highly modified Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat "US Thrift Assn, 7 1/4% Special" prior to becoming the Unlimited Champion at the 1973 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. This Bearcat (Race #77, “Rare Bear”) is now owned by Rod Lewis.



All desktop Calendars and Wallpapers are now available in 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1024x768 formats and 1920x1200, 1680x1050, 1280x800 Wide Screen formats. The instructions for loading any of the desktop calendar or wallpaper selections are located below the thumbnails on the applicable page.
