I was out at Thunder this weekend (along with a bunch of WIXer friends)....... I saw Vlado's Mustang in the hangar and also flying...

He was flying support for some WWII Army guys and following P-51B Old Crow. Jimmy Leeward was flying Old Crow and Vlado was stuck to him like glue. If he was a 109, Vlado would have been able to easily wax him.....

Nice pix! Thx. It was a blast to fly with Jimmy. I hit his wake about 4 times. I hope those ground pounders felt like they had good close-support. That was a fun flight over the field.
(Don't show my kids the first pix - they'll make fun of me!!)

Hey Vlado,

Great job this weekend! The fellow you yelled at to 'WAKE UP' while you were taxiing past our Harvards this morning really got a kick out of it!

At least you didn't flame-out, Maverick! :)

Just remember, prop-wash goes up and to the left... :)

Seriously, nice job of flying. I got a couple of good shots of your departure climb on Saturday, I'll post when I recover from the drive home to NJ.

Hi Vlado, I was in one of the Stuarts. We really appreciated the close air support. Couldn't have waxed the "Krauts" without ya. Sorry about the few stray bullets, on that first pass, I would have sworn you were "Jerry". I don't think I hit you though........John

Michael:
You are VERY welcome. It is always a treat to attend the YIP show. There is such a large & strong presence of aircraft enthusiasts. That makes it a fun event for everyone attending! You had first class people running everything and it showed. I am very glad to have been there!
Thanks to you , as well!
