I am (finally!) about to graduate from college and am working on a communication paper for my last official college class. It's the end of the course and is definitely make-or-break. Anyway, I plan on analyzing the U.S. Navy's policy on sunken aircraft and some of the lawsuits that have resulted because of it. If anyone has any articles, links, court transcripts, ANYTHING, it would be a major help. Thanks, everyone.

Good Luck with your project.

You know, Brigadier General Melchert had a wonderful term (which he'd adopted from Capt. Edmund Blackadder) for such intensive verbiage- "Gobblydegook"

What a load of it that bit of legislaiton is...

I don't have any direct links, but as a starting point, just Google, and/or search here in this forum for Doug Champlain and/or Devastator/TBD. I know that he was involved in a law suit against the Navy. Also, Taras - one of our forum members here - is one of the owners of AT&T recovery services who is the outfit contracted to recover all of the Lake Michigan birds for the Navy. Perhaps PM-ing him, might get you some leads to some of the more obscure links, especially the public court dockets. In addition, Rob Rohr (forum name - Col Rohr), a previous member here who was banned, is probably one of the best repositories regarding any information about the lawsuits, since he was heavily involved in a lot of them. I know there are many members here who still talk to Rob and can hook you up. Between all of the previous, that should get you all the information to last you a lifetime on what you request.

Good luck and let us know how your paper turns out! :)
