Here is the latest from the restoration shop at PNAS Museum. Aircraft is a Lockheed 10A, modifieid to look like a 10E and is in markings of a R20-1, which was used by the Seretary of the Navy. Aircraft is formerly VH-MND, N4886V, and N19HL.

Very nice. Come a long way since I saw it in 2007!

You might want to put a return between the two pics, John, it'll make the thread easier to read if they're above and below rather than side by side. Side by side makes the rest of the thread a side-scrollfest. Just hit the 'edit' button.

Cheers,

Thanks for posting the pics, John. Last I heard it was to be painted like Earharts ship. Good to see it in Navy colors. Can I use the pic for my Lockheed page?

Here's a view of the plane as seen from inside the museum atrium, during the Big Presentation Ceremony ...

PJ from the Hot Stuff crew and I were down there having a bit of a busman's holiday: two and a half days at the museum (trip report coming presently in the Hot Stuff thread).

I most likely saw you taking pics out there, John--there weren't all that many people outside.
