Nikon D80
2 different lens types:

#1: AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm for the close shots.
Image

#2: Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM for the in flight shots.

Headed to Loveland next....looking forward to seeing them.....told the 262 would be with them, is it? Always a great night fishing the Thompson and getting an airshow also as they buzz over doing their evening flights...

Are you going to go see them on the 4th at Loveland?

Fri Jul 03, 2009 6:19 pm

The 262 has been unable to join the tour. It's still at Sander's , working on "issues". We'll get it out only when it's really ready.

It's a stealth 262, it is there you just can't see it!

Great pics, beautiful day! Did they have good numbers showing up to see them?

There were quite a few people there. Not a bad crowd at all. Most of the time I was at one end of the runway or the other for takeoff-landing. But when I was there, it looked like they were getting some good numbers.

Never got to see 'em fly this time round.....big rain storm came in on the afternoon of the 4th and they were buttoning them up....I went fishing and the weather got worse and worse, finally chased me outta the river (lightning and fly rods....NOT a good mix).....shot a couple of over the fence pics and bought some 8x10's to add to my wall, but never saw them fly or saw the Mustang....kinda expected the ME262 to not be there, but was dissappointed that the B-25 was'nt there. Ah well....not every summer can blue skies and puffy white cumulus and bombers flying over you while you stand in a trout stream...

Onward, boys....have a Great tour!
