This month includes:

1. Sanders Aeronautics' beautiful Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 “Argonaut”, being flown by Mark Watt, displaying the company’s smoke generators over the Sonoma County hills at the 2008 Wings over Wine County Airshow in Santa Rosa, CA. This years event will be held on August 15 and 16 in Santa Rosa, CA.
2. Stewart Dawson flying flying Rod Lewis' combat veteran and award winning Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb BL628 "Marion" over the Texas countryside outside of Laredo, TX.
3. The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s rare Westland Lysander IIIA, being flown by Rick Rickards, during a Classic Wings magazine photo shoot over Hamilton, Ontario. The Lizzie made its first post restoration flight on June 9, 2009.
4. Mark Peterson flying his Dornier Alpha-Jet, with Gayle Sewell in the back seat, and Phil Fogg flying his L-39, with backseater John Stewart, over the California coastline with the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio in the background.
5. Based at Sonoma Skypark, Eric Presten's 1949 Piper PA-16 Clipper on a pair of Whitaker tandem wheel landing gear. The prototypes were built in 1947 and designed for landing and takeoffs from rough fields, while they worked quite well for this, the larger bush and tundra tires came along at the same time sending the Whitaker gear into the history books.
6. Trent Latshaw flying his beautiful N.A. P-51D Mustang "The Millie G" during a Warbird Digest photo shoot. The original "The Millie G" was the aircraft of Major Edward Giller of the 343rd Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group.
7. The Shuttleworth Collection's Hawker Hind at the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford, England. This years event will be held on July 11 and 12, 2009.
8. Robert Wiplinger's patriotically painted deHavilland DHC-2 Mk. 1 (L20A) Turbo Beaver moored at the seaplane base during AirVenture 2008. This years event will be held on July 27 - August 2, 2009.
9. The Scandinavian Historic Flight's Douglas A-26B Invader at the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford, England.
10. George Giboney rounding pylon 5 in his Thunder Mustang "Rapid Travel" at the 2008 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. This year's Air Races and Airshow will be held on September 16 - 20, 2009.
11. An Etihad Airlines Airbus A-340-600, painted in a colorful Formula 1 "Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2009" livery, taking off from Toronto's LBPIA.
12. Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 44-83868, operated by Butler Aircraft, Redmond, OR at the time of the photo (May 30, 1971), with Three Sisters mountains in the background. This aircraft served as PB-1W s/n 77233 with the US Navy before being sold in 1957 and later becoming a tanker. It was restored in 1983, ferried to England and is currently on display at the RAF Museum, Hendon.
