I’m happy to say I was involved in the first Geneseo airshow arrival when Glenn Goldman flew Dave Tinker’s TBM “Ida Red” into Geneseo Monday for the airshow. The aircraft had been parked at Ed Russell’s airfield since his show.

Glenn checking the oil before our short hop to Geneseo. Needless to say we had the most stares on the ramp today.

Austin is pleased with the first arrival

The TBM is bedded down until the airshow. It is parked really close to the pole for the Hellcat so I hope they don’t get any ideas.

Austin then returned us back to our country but we told him we will be back n a few weeks.

Cheers,

Eric

Nice shots Eric!
Great opportunity to fly with a good guy.
How'd you get back?
Drive or fly?

Coming up on 2 weeks to go! I've never seen this TBM before, can't wait.

I only hope the weather this year looks like it did on your flight over!

From what I can determine from my WX contacts, it looks like some clouds, not too bad and low to mid 80s for the show.

Mudge the predictable
(That doesn't sound right  )

Very cool, Eric! I hope you said Hi to Glenn for me. So, this is the Canadian Glenn you flew with? I always confuse him with the Virginia Glenn.... :)

Rich, yes, this is the same guy. He mentioned about the nice package you sent him. He was very impressed.

I know, I see Glenn from time to time, Willow Run last year being the last time. I just can't figure out if he's a Yank who moved north for the good health-care, or a Canook who came south for the....the....wait, I can't think of a good reason. Must be the former. :)

That's really cool and nice photos.

Any airplane that has big green house windows and enough room for my camera bag beside my seat is pretty darn cool. Tons of room in the back seat and a great view. I just needed a wingman to shoot and the day would have been perfect.

Glenn goes back and forth so much I've been worried that a hunter will take him down thinking he's a Canadian Goose!

Serious, the warbird movement (We all) is really lucky to have people like Glenn, and Steve Hinton, Bob Hill, John Lane, Neal Melton, etc who give so much of their time flying these 'finicky' aircraft all over the place, and they're really down-to-earth people to hang around with too.
