Thank you for posting this Cedric, I'm very glad the pilot is okay. The photos are amazing, but it's sad to see the destruction of such a beautiful aircraft. I hope it can/will be rebuilt!

Aircraft can be replaced, human souls not.

Sad news, but glad to hear the pilot's going to be OK. Good thing there wasn't a front seat passenger..looks like they would have been toast.

The pilot was wounded at the jaw. He apparently made a bad operation at a low altitude, the tail of the plane touched the ground

The pilot's lucky that the plane is built like a tank.

I'm sure glad the pilot is ok. I'm continually amazed at the relative survivability of the model 75 Stearman . Remarkable images, thanks for posting.

Possibly the Earth got too close at the bottom of a loop the way it appears to have broken in half. (tied the worlds record for low flying)

Awright...I never heard that one...

I guess it's only attempts at breaking the record that are problematic......

As for the Stearman, that the pilot survived an event violent enough to tear the front off the fuselage is a testament to the airplane for sure. Really glad the pilot is OK.
