Glen,
Thanks for the encouragement and support. I agree a Scott, Ryan, JDK and the rest of the mods (I know JDK resigned but he will be missed as a mod) are doing an excellent job with little or no recognition. Please keep up the good work guys. Overall the collective knowledge of the members of this group is astounding!!

B-17G 44-8543 will soon be returning to the sky, we hope by late fall. We are working on the annual inspection and the ever popular spar A.D. Once we get everything put back together and she is safe, airworthy and legal, we'll be back in the air. Late fall is a goal, not a deadline.

Support and encouragement are great, but money is what makes airplanes fly - especially old ones. Support your local warbirds!!

Come by and see us if you're ever in the Fort Worth area, in the mean time check out the "B-17G "Chuckie" Update" thread over in the MX Hangar Forum we're up to 8 pages of postings. Sometimes we even stay on topic!!

If we're talking about big iron and bomber projects to be completed in the future:

Does anyone have any current info on an airworthy He-111 project in Austria? Werk. No. 5883. Very long-term project?

Will one or both of the Norwegian Ju-88s be restored to taxi condition? That would be very exciting.

Yagen's Mossie ought to be flying in the next couple of years, shoudn't it? And what about the Twin Mustang being done in Minnesota?

The Historical Aircraft Squadron A-26 was supposed to be up sometime this year. Anyone know if that has a chance of happening?

The Airline History Museum Constellation is also on its way back after engine problems (I think). I don't know how far along they are, but hopefully they'll be back in the air soon/
