T-28 Photo Help Requested

Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:40 pm

We're getting ready to paint the Minnesota Air Guard Museum's T-28 and would like to paint it in the markings of the T-28s flown by the unit in the late 50's. So far all I can find is one black and white picture for reference, which isn't very good for helping figure out the color scheme. If anyone has any photos of the MNANG's T-28s or any other guard unit's they could share I would greatly appreciate it.

So far this is all I have:

I haven't found any ANG pix of the T-28 (yet), but it looks to me like it is wearing the standard USAF scheme applied to T-28's: light grey undersurfaces and aluminum on top. Here's a color photo: http://class59-d.org/T-28A.jpg

I'm putting together a slide show of T-28 pix for the 60th anniversary banquet at Oshkosh this year, so if I find anything, I'll let you know.

Thanks. We thought it was probably the aluminum and grey scheme but it is hard to tell for sure. It also looks like it may have a colored band on the vertical stab.
