My dad's birthday is comming up in a few months, and I'd like to make him a key holder in the shape of a side view of a A-3 Skywarrior, on which he was an electroinics warfare air crew with VQ-2 and need a sharp, large sized side view of a whale. Can any one help me out?

My ex-father-in-law (whom I get along with better than his daughter) was a crew member on Whales and is a member of the A-3 Skywarrior Association. http://a3skywarrior.com/index.php?nid=100089&s=hm

I'll contact him and see if he has anything. In the mean time you might check out the link above and see if you can get some help from them.

Side note: they have an A-3 project that they're working on - static only it looks like.

I'll let you know if I find anything out for you.

Or, go to aviastar.org
select 'Virtual Aircraft Museum'
Select USA
select DOUGLAS
scroll down to A3D and use the excellent 3 view drawing there. :D

I keep VAM and it's sister site Virtual helicopter Museum in 'favorites' on my work computer. Every evening I leave a weird airplane or goofey helo idea picture for my dayshift cube mate who always gets a big laugh out of what I leave him-there really are hundreds of ideas for helicopters that make you wonder if these folks' washers were all tight.
