Who here on WIX is currently working on restoring a previously non-flying warbird to airworthy condition? I'm aware of a few of you. To get my question clear, I'm not talking about folks here who are maintaining already airworthy warbirds or warbirds restored to static, but those of you who are restoring an otherwise non-flying warbird back to airworthy condition. This question may give us an idea of a possible number of new warbirds that will be added to the flying ranks in the years to come. I have noticed some new warbirds in previous posts .... It's also interesting to know the location of these restorations, not exact locations for respect of the owners privacy, but it would be interesting to know what states, countries, etc. are the most currently active in warbird restorations.

Vintage Wings Canada has a lot on the go right now. Just got the Sabre out the door, currently on tap: Lysander, Chipmunk, Hurricane, and Swordfish.

Currently restoring a PT-17 Stearman. Working with my A&P on the fuselage. Wings built by Big Sky Stearman and sitting in the garage ready to be used. Continental 220 engine will be going on it. It is the little pieces that have been driving me crazy looking all over for them still.

Looking forward to flying it as it is my first aeroplane and waiting to learn to fly a tail dragger. Enjoying the whole project and what I learning.

I am currently restoring a T-6 that is about a year away from flying. I have another T-6 (project) I will restore when this one is done. I now have to do an engine change on the flier T-6 that has a blown engine (as of yesterday) Lots of work to do on airplanes and all I can do lately is work on a new hanger. Someday when I get thru all this T-6 stuff I am going to build a replica of an airplane called a Westbrook Sportster.
