Does anyone know where the USN/ USMC training fields for F4U transition was stateside ? I am thinking it was NAS Jacksonville but I was not sure.

Here is a partial list. Cherry Point, El Centro and Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, secure island bases in the South Pacific, El Toro, Cabannis Field,

I'll keep digging as I'm sure there were more
