My high school AFJROTC instructor, COL Robert C. Newman, Jr. was pilot on this B-17G. Most of his missions were flown after 1 Jan 1945. I have been in touch with the great folks at the 95th BG Historical Site, and have received complete listings of his missions, which I have shared with the Colonel.

I thought I would share some of the photos he shared with me and a rough profile I made. From what I can gather, some of these machines did not carry fuselage codes very late in the war, but others may know more.

If anyone else has any other photos of this bird, I'd love to see them!

Thanks!

Steven Murphy
