This month includes:
1. Tony Banta’s Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk finished in a 23rd Fighter Group scheme, being flown by Jim Thomas, over Lake Matthews at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA. This year's Planes of Fame Airshow will be held on May 16-17 in Chino, CA.
2. Steve "Stevo" Hinton flying N.A. P-51D Mustang "Wee Willy II" over Lake Matthews south of Chino, CA.
3. The Commemorative Air Force's Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat "Minsi III", being flown by Jason Somes, during a Warbird Digest photo shoot at the 2007 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
4. Jack Croul's rare Lockheed P-38L Lightning, being flown by Jeff Harris, with Brant Seghetti flying formation in Jack's N.A. P-51D Mustang over the Sonoma County hills at the 2008 Wings over Wine County Airshow in Santa Rosa, CA.
5. Steve Hinton flying the Planes of Fame Air Museum's rare Boeing P-26A Peashooter at the 2006 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
6. Sanders Aeronautics' P&W R-4360 powered Hawker Sea Fury T.20 "Dreadnought", being flown by Mark Watt, at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
7. Carl Scholl and Tony Ritzman, with crew chief Larry Scarpa, taking off in Aero Traders' N.A. B-25J Mitchell "Pacific Princess" for an evening flight at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
8. Sten Palbom flying the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's Fleet-built Cornell "Spirit of Fleet II" over Hamilton, ON. The original Cornell 10835 was the 1000th Cornell built by Fleet Aircraft in Fort Erie, ON.
9. Stephen Grey flying The Fighter Collection's Grumman F8F-2P Bearcat during his aerobatic display at the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford, England.
10. Dave Morss rounding pylon #6 in his Lancair Legacy "Martin's Legacy" at the 2008 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.
11. Taxiing in from a scenic flight, San Francisco Seaplane Tours' de Havilland DHC-2 Mk.1 Beaver, based out of Sausalito, CA, can be seen flying the skies regularly over San Francisco.
12. P2V-7 Neptune N14447 (Bu 135587, ex RCAF 24110, ex CF-MQV), being operated by Johnson Flying Service, returning on September 2, 1974 to the Troutdale tanker base from a drop on a fire that it was working in company with a B-17, DC-7, PB4Y-2 and C-119.
