Wow...I remember when Larry kept that at Thun Field down in Puyallup. What a short strip for such a BIG airplane!

Before Larry painted it up as Scrapiorn IV, he had it painted yellow as the "Bardahl Lightning", and Chuck Lyford did some amazing aerobatic routines up here in the Pacific Northwest with it.

I wonder if anyone has film footage of Lyford flying the 38, or John Church's black F8F N148F. I understand his displays in the latter was also breathtaking.
