I just thought I'd let some of my fellow warbird lovers know about the Open House planned for May 9, at Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, CT.
Here's the Press Release copy:

Wings & Wheels
Classic & Modern Airplanes, Helicopters, Harleys, Food & Fun!
A benefit for The Discovery Museum and Planetarium
Saturday, May 9 • 10 am to 3:30 pm
Sikorsky Memorial Airport • Stratford, CT
Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for children and $15 for families (up to 2 adults and 4 children)

Event sponsors include:
Three Wing Flying Service
Harley Davidson of Bridgeport • Fritz Harley Davidson
Fixed Wing Warbirds including the F4U Corsair "Skyboss", C-47 Skytrain, and a WWII T-6 trainer.
Helicopters including a UH-60 Black Hawk and a CH-47 Chinook
Sikorsky’s Orange County Chopper
Hundreds of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles
For more information, call (203) 372-3521 or visit www.discoverymuseum.org

The FG-1D Corsair from the pole will be on display in it's partially dismantled state. Other aircraft scheduled to attend are C-45, Waco YKS,
Aeronca L-3, Piper Cub, L-39, Police Huey and a running R-43690 Pratt and Whitney Wasp Major aircraft engine!
There will be a door prize for a 15 minute T-6 ride!
Young Eagles Flights will take place for youngsters, and T-6 Texan rides will be available all day.

It's a great event and the first one in Connecticut this year!
Shake those winter cobwebs off and come on down and say hello. I'll be running the ground operations so I'll be upset if you don't come by.
It's a fund raiser for the Discovery Museum so we'd really like to show the colors and make it a success so that it becomes a yearly event!
Blue skies,
Jerry
