that goat looks nervous to have that guy behind him.............

The goat is either nervous or in love.

Thanks Jack. It is kind of funny how the guy is smilin' and the goat has those glossed over, nervous eyes.
What kind of plane is that anyway?

I beleive this was part of the top secret "Project Gruff" where goats were specially trained to eat rice. The plan was to drop them by parachute behind enemy lines where they would hopefully eat the enemies supplies thus rendering them incapable of fighting. Another scheme which was right up there with the "incendiary bat bomb."

Nice pic Jack!
Looks like a P-61 or a P-70.

The angle of the picture had me thinkin' that it was a tail dragger of some sort......but I reckon the goat is the only tail dragger in the photo after all then, huh?

Cheek, that has nothing to do with goats, we turn them into sporrans!! It has more to do with sheep.
By the way, pretty sure it is a P-61.

???

That's Boblin the mascot of the 548th NFS on Iwo Jima in a P-61.
note his horns are painted red to match the spinners on the sqd
s Black Widows.

That guy looks entirely to happy to be with that goat. What did they just get through doing? What the heck is an Army pilot doing with a Navy goat anyway? Maybe the Army Navy game was played that day, and Army won, and the goat was the bet.

THe P-61's plexiglass looks crazed.
