Do you ever post anything other than links ?

Fri Apr 10, 2009 11:36 pm

Flyingheritage, nice links! I especially like your color Harvard links.

Do YOU ever stop wining complaining and been down right rude?

If you dont like links and the information that they provide DONT read the posts.

Shame i havent bothered reading nearly all the posts on the main page cause guess what buddy............hardly none of the topics people have put up interest me nearly.

Each to their own.. and you WHY arent you finding information for the forum instead of mocking people who do?

I asked a question, I have not been rude to you, you on the other hand.....
As far as finding things for the forum, I don't have to find things, I do them. I fix, restore and crew the planes you see at airshows and have been doing it longer than alot on here have been around.
What were you doing when you were 13 ? I was working on a B-17, that was 30yrs ago for me.

No one cares what anyone has done, only about the subject itself.

Any more links Flyingheritage?

It may be because they get pushed off the main page by fifteen posts of links. Couldn't you at least gather multiple links and just put them in one post?

Stop quibbling. Knock it off, it's silly, and makes everybody who participates into a bigger ass than the guy you're complaining about.

umm... what people have done - and ARE DOING - in fact IS the subject of many of the posts here.

The fact that you can go to a local airshow and see these historic aircraft fly is a direct result of the oil-ruined shirts and bloodied knuckles of some of the folks who post here.

There's nothing wrong with just being an enthusiast IMO. Few people have the opportunity to actually work on these birds. Without enthusiasts, without people coming out to airshows and paying the gate fee, far fewer warbirds would be flying.

But this forum isn't a MySpace fan page for your favorite band. It's one step removed from being on tour, hanging with the band and crew backstage. Groupies and fanboys don't always wear well in the green room.

Yes , but nobody wants to hears some salty old stories about how joe shmoe walked 50 miles through the snow and carried a 75 lb backpack either. That's enough kids!

Got any more links flyingheritage?

Speak for yourself, and yourself alone.

I for one, care to hear about other people's experiences; that's how you actually learn.

That guy had promised -is his word worth anything at all? - that he was done posting links, and that he was not going to "help" us, who don't know how to use search engines, the web or other research tools, to find information about aircraft.

His promise? Well.....

Saludos,

Tulio
