When brand new?

After 100 hours on them?

After 200 hours on them?

With mud, sweat and grime on them?

I'd have to side with David Aiken,

there were many airplanes that did not have cushions of any kind because that is where the pilot's parachute would fit, and act as a cushion.

I could be wrong.

Cheers,

David
