ww 2 luftwaffe pilot's fw-190 -a 4 flown by staffelkapitan of 9. /jg2 josef wurmheller 78 victories. my buddy needs the paint scheme for the underside of the aircraft, & especially the underside of the wings / stabilizers. all we can dig up via internet & books are profile shots, with no info / pics as to colors on the paint underside fuselage / wings. he's working on a painting. he's been an aviation artist for many years with some notable commissions. will post his email / website. let him know i referred you & i'll get you a good price for the work you want.

Wurmehellr "Pips" airplane was painted in early camouflage pattern for the Fw190. Top side was in patches of RLM 02 and RLM 71 color and the side of fuselage as well whole bottom of aircraft are in the RLM 65 color. I thionk that I have images somewhere and I will need some time to find it.

mgawa, thanks for reply. can you elaborate on those rlm color standards?? i'm not familiar with them. actual color names would help most. my buddy is not familiar with them either. do you have any underside shots of wurmhellers 190?? your help is most appreciated. by the way my buddy's website for aviation art is as follows.......

Anyway- my email is
srecko.warplane@gmail.com and he is free to contact me. No problem to me to make conversion from RLM paint to some he can use today [like 2K urethane or epoxy paint]. Underside was simply, he had some personal markings used and special note large black area typical for his Jagdgeschwader.
