supposed to be at my airport today through Wednesday - and I don't have a camera except for my cell phone.... Oh well, it's for a good cause since I sent it to Hawaii with my mom. Anyway, any WIXers going to be at Stinson today with the bombers?

Well, the pictures from my cell phone are not too great, but resized, they're not too bad. At least they're something!

I think this could've been a really nice shot if I'd had a decent camera.

Met RickH and a few others there. We're going to TRY and bring the L-5 out to the ramp tomorrow, if everything's working.

Yeah, but you have to know where the Nelson gold is to be correct.
The TSA Alert A has been pushed back until Wednesday due to I couldn't even see across the road today for half of the morning....

Nathan,
JimH and Chuck are not out on the tour at the moment. JimH is off doing his CFI, and Chuck is still busy flying the T-6 in FL. They are both scheduled to rejoin the tour a little later in the season.

Here's hoping your actually at Stinson at some point. If so I'll try to drop by and say hello. I've met RickH already.

Well, the bombers brought in the English weather to complete the illusion... Arrived bright and early and was supposed to get picked up and ferry the L-5 down to the field. The fog was just about as thick as I've ever seen it here, except maybe a few other times, and I've lived here over 20 years. So, I got a few pictures with my cell phone and we waited. Finally decided to go on and try to fly the L-5 so we departed for Cannon. Thankfully the fog lifted nicely (CAVU the rest of the day) and I brought the L-5 over. Here are some shots.

The B-17 shot there at the last should be the same flight that 330thbg's brother was on board. Lots of folks there with better cameras!
Oh, and had a nice WIX meetup with RickH and some other lurkers who were working the event for Collins. That Huey is pretty incredible!.
