Airworthy? I guessed about $25k for airworthy T-33 about 3 months ago, and noone believed it. Everyone said they NEVER saw one that cheap, and ONLY for around 150k or higher.

Which is why what used to be $2 million dollar HEMI 'CUDA convertables @ Barret-Jackson now bring only upper level 6 figues, it's the economy and it looks like someone is trying to dump his 'solid gold' investment from a few year ago-

The SOLID GOLD investment from 3 years ago would have been gold, its about tripled in value........

I could never see a reason for 6 figure hemi cars. I had a 69 Charger back in HS in 1976 and it was fun, but nothing like a new (2009) Corvette. No comparison whatsoever....... Lost interest in all the old cars.

But not the planes.

19.5 hours here  Fortunetly I go to school p/t...

I saw a decent looking T-33 project on Courtesy for 60k. http://www.courtesyaircraft.com/

The 20k range sounds alot better. It would be fun to get one to play/ learn the basics with and make it a static display. No where to put it though...

Dang fellas...hate to stray away from the topic of this thread, but we are begging for help! If you have experience on CNC machines with FANUC controls, we could certainly use your help. And, we are a defense contractor...making parts for the JSOW (bunker buster bombs), 155mm howitzer and all sorts of other military components. Either visit our website at WegmannUSA or go over to Monster.com to view our help wanted ad. (if ya like overtime...we are working 7 days a week!)

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming :P

I've got a degree in Manufacturing Engineering with basic experience using Funuc controllers on CNCs. My background is mostly in CATIA, FeatureCAM and MasterCAM though.

Thanks Vlado...I think...I honestly have not visited our website since I started working there about 6 months ago. Wish I could talk about all of the extraordinarily cool stuff that we make. Tell ya what, you bring Moonbeam down here, take me up for a flight over the Blue Ridge mountains and I will tell ya all about what we make. Wonder if we could fit some JSOWs to Moonbeam as well  Our vice president has a very nice 182 with the long range tanks...

Mr Hawthrone...right now we are looking for experienced CNC machinists. We do use MasterCam for all of our programming though. And, believe me, all of the machinists think we can never have enough process engineers/programmers. We have two brand new, very large (expensive) Mori Seiki pieces of equipment coming in within the next month...WOOHOO! Mori Seiki is the Ferarri of CNC equipment.

Sorry fellas...I strayed waaaay off the topic of this thread. If anyone is truly interested, visit one of the above sites or PM me and I can give you the email of our HR person for your resume'.
