Tiptoeing carefully here...

But has anyone heard anything further about how Mr. Greenwood's Spitfire is doing?
Please let's not turn this into anything political or do any moderator bashing. I am genuinely interested in how he's doing.

Hey Bill!

Hey Bill!
If you're watching, I miss ya! Hope all is well!

Last I heard from Bill was probably about a month and a bit ago. It doesn't sound like much is going on at all.

He's still working with the insurance company to sort things out and as it goes, Bill cannot provide any info on how that's actually going.

As it stands, the airplane is not being worked on right now, and will not be until the insurance is sorted out.

I have my fingers crossed that Bill can get her flying sooner rather than later. I can only imagine how much he wants to take her up again.

Bill, I hope you're alright with me saying that...

Cheers,

David

Don't forget that had a run in with another hurricane last year . Hurricane "Ike". I should imagine rubbing salt water into her wounds didn't help.

The hurricane is being worked on but not in Texas.

The Hurricane was taken to a shop in Colorado shortly after the accident (I believe it is at the same shop as Bill's Spitfire). Fortunately it wasn't anywhere near Galveston during Ike.

Correctly if I'm wrong but Bill had parts of the Hurricane taken to CO with
his Spitfire. Pretty nice of him to do that. I hope the wheels at LSFM reciprocate that form of generosity in return.

A few things here....... Bill is not a member here for whatever reason.... His membership, past, present or future should not be an issue here.

His Spitfire is simply that "His SPITFIRE". There may or may not be some litigation over what happened in Houston. What he does to his airplane is not the business of anyone here. Speculation should not be made here.

If Bill would so choose to lock it away in a warehouse, then so be it.

For those who have spoken to him. I'm sure that everything he told you was in confidence, everything I talked to him about was in confidence. Hence when someone tells you something personal you shouldn't be telling the rest of the world about you talked about it. If you do talk about it, then the rest of us know not to talk to you about anything we don't want to see posted here in public.

I think that a mod should be locking this topic.

And anyone who's in touch with the real world knows that a secret can only be kept by one person. Mr. Greenwood's airplane is not the "Holy Grail" for Zeus sake.
