Hi everyone, I'm going on a trip and I plan to see the following: the Austrian Military Museum in Vienna, the Bulgarian Military Museum in Sofia, the tank museum at Latrun Israel and the Army Museum in Tel Aviv. What I could use are alternative places to see, air museums would be good. Any suggestions are welcome and thanks a lot....

.... well, there's the Red Bull museum (Hangar 7) in Salzburg, Austria for a start. They should be getting the former "White Lightnin'" any time now. Not sure what their schedule is like, but it's an amazing looking museum with some high-end exhibits. http://www.hangar-7.com/#en/flying-bulls/

Don't forget the Israeli Air Force Museum either... http://www.fai.org/education/museums/isr_iaf

Cheers,
Richard

If you can, get to Krakow and visit the Polish Air Force Museum. If you're gonna be up that way, take a second day and drive 30mins to Auschwitz and take the tour - something everyone should do and something you will never forget.

If I may suggest, a trip to Graz, for a very interesting -and different kind of- army junk:

Landeszeughaus (Museum of Armour)
Herrengasse 16, Graz, AT-8010, Austria, AT
Tel: +43 0316 801 79810

It is well worth the trip.

Saludos,

Tulio
