After much swearing and cussing  ~ I've actually got a 35mm slide scan that's worth sharing !

The question is ....... Can anyone identify which B-17 this is ?

Image

BIG CLUE ! It was taken 20 years ago this July ! :D

The prize ? Oh yeah ..... I've got LOTS more slides like this to scan and share !

Right idea Mustang Driver ~ wrong airplane though .....

N17W / Boeing Bee has the distinctive enlarged B-17F type cheek windows either side of the nose.

darn you guys are good !

Yip ~ N3703G it is !

During early July 1989, Duxford airfield was host to the aircraft playing roles in the making of the Memphis Belle movie. This meant that it was possible to pay the museum entrance fee and have a grandstand view of the departures and arrivals as the aerial sequences were being filmed.

I'm going to try and put together a selection of pics of all 5 B-17s, P-51's and the three Buchons and post them here on WIX.

These pics haven't ever been shown in "public" ...... and I've spent the last few weeks collating the various paint schemes I captured to the specific aircraft that were used.

I'll try and add more pictures soon !
