A Royal Air Force Whaleback HSL (high speed launch) is being directed by a low-flying RAF Hawker Hurricane IIC to an American pilot off the North African Coast in 1943.

How does such an image come to be from the Bundesarchive though? Love the turret on the boat, any idea if it was common to any aircraft, or if it was a marine-specific item?
