POF airshow this year I hear is close to 5 bearcats flying? Anyone know which bearcats these would be? I can count 3 possibly 4. Can't think of any others out west that would be operational and realistically able to fly ... Hope I'm wrong, that would be a cool deal to see 5 in the air.

At a guess, Steve Hinton's one (if it's finished), Friedkin's, CAF, then possibly Rod Lewis x 2?

Rare Bear? ... also it seems over the past few years POF paints a new scheme on one of their aircraft. Anyone know of this happening this year? Always fun to see a new scheme. I believe last year their TBM was re-painted.

They don't plan on having The Bear in the air until June at PRS.

Houston/Galveston has two flying, Howard Pardue's and Robert Waltrip's
at The Lone Star Flight Museum. Robert Waltrip's "Blue Angel 1" was flown back to the museum in Galveston from Hobby within the last week or so.

Its getting an annual right now, here. He does take it to Houston on occasion (or for the local airshows) but it is kept here along with all the other Warbirds.

While we're on the subject of Bearcats, what's the status of the Air Zoo's (former?) F8F? I haven't been over to the museum in ages.

You got me there. I meant the kids about 20 or so miles north of me. Inspector? 262?
