Thought it might be interesting to see some warbirds in civilian service.
First up, a BOAC Lancaster (not Lancastrian)

Then an ex BOAC, Queensland Empire Airways LB-30

Anyone else have any pics? Look forward to seeing them if you do. Thanks.[/img]

This is very cool to see! Any more?

Warbirds in civilian clothing were before my time. (I was born in the 80's :D )

I really like the T-50... although with that emblem on the tail, it looks a little bit like a flying hearse!!!

This image may be of interest. It depicts a Lockheed Hudson VH-AGP operated by Adastra Aerial Surveys. The pic was taken at Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne in 1977. Between the late 1940's and the mid 1970's Adastra operated geographical surveys in Australia with a number of ex RAAF Hudsons. Most of the worlds surviving Hudson population came from this batch. The aircraft depicted here is now on display at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

Couple of minor corrections -

That'd be a Qantas Empire Airways LB-30, and I'm not sure if even that's correct, hmmm? Anyone?
(Queensland is the 'Q' in Qantas = Queensland and Northern Territories Aerial Service.)

Actually currently in store in Canberra, not on public view, unfortunately.

Cheers,
