We have been discussing, debating, arguing, etc. about our concern for others to join our efforts to expand our interest in all things "WARBIRD" ... my question is since we have so much concern, or better yet, complain so much about the lack of interest in conservation of the "warbird" society. Who here has an answer or series of answers for what we all need to do to enhance our passion? I have yet to read answers. All I ever read is questions. What do we all collectively do to promote, enhance, encourage the masses to invest interest in our passion for warbirds?

Off the top of my head I can think of trying to make the warbird world not such a "good old, rich boy" society. I think we can find a way to make warbirds available to young folks like golf is trying with young people. Yes there are expenses with golf and warbirds, but there are ways around the expense as well. What do you all think?

No disrespect to anyone in the above post material

M

If everyone put 1% of their angry/passion and love for warbird into politcal lobbying, spent as much time as writing posts or yabbing about BS, get out there turn some bolts, write to local political parties and demand better things for aviation MAYBE then something could change.

To gather a tidal wave of support you have to start off slow + local and be daring to take risks.

I dare anyone here to try this -
1) use your brains - surely you can be smart and good at writing - use it
2) stop harassing and calling people names - show some maturity YOU are all are adults.
3) if you want something to CHANGE get involved - join up, write letters, donate time money help out etc. THIS is the only way changes in the world get done.
4) if your passion is so deep - introduce more people to warbirds at airshows

Ive becomed involved in voluntary work around my local 'hood, i help people it makes good and bad outcomes, least it is change.

So that is my take.
Be brave - use your balls and stand up.

Rome wasnt built overnight but it had many hands turning the wheel.

I am utterly unconvinced that our passion needs any more enhancing, that the masses need to be promoted-to or encouraged, that the government needs lobbying, that the young need involving, or that there is any problematic lack of interest in the warbird community. From where I sit, everything is humming along just fine.

So if it's okay with you flyingheritage, I'll use my balls where they are far more effectively deployed, rather than in anything relating to warbirds.

Careful friend, no ones bashing anyone here, just a simple debate. This is my way of turning some bolts and using my brains. And no one has to tell me how to use my balls. I use em constructively everyday ...
