A Russian captured Zero? I've not heard of that before. Seem plausible though.

I hear about that really long time ago, I think first time in autumn 1989. Still hunt for evidence about this. Also looking operational images of Indonesian samples... hard task, it look like :(

Hello,

The Russians must have captured scads of Japanese aircraft in the their invasion of China, Mongolia and the northernmost of the Japanese home islands (which they still have, by the way) at the end of the war.

This webpage <http://www.j-aircraft.com/captured/> has pictures of captured Japanese aircraft - though none in Russian markings, though it does have a picture of a Lagg-3 in Japanese markings. Therein must lie another tale.

Soviet have tradition to hide the things. So no wonder if the info about the captured Japanese planes is still hiden.
